About Front Door Home Buyers
In a way, I’ve always been in the house flipping business. From the time I was old enough to carry a hammer, I remember following my dad around the house, proud to be his little helper. Later, I would follow him to his rental properties to help with various plumbing and electrical jobs. When renters turned over, I would fix drywall, paint, replace doors and floors, whatever needed to be done to be ready for the next tenant.
Through college and several of those so-called real jobs, I took on dozens of home improvement projects to help pay the bills. Many of these projects were in rental properties where you learn never to do anything that won’t have a positive return in rent or the eventual sale. I also helped my dad build the family cabin in 1997.
Over time those projects got bigger and more complex until, in 2015, I finally took the plunge and flipped my first home. It was hard work, but I had a lot of support from my family and I really enjoyed being my own boss. It gave me the push I needed to start Front Door Home Buyers.
FDHB is focused on flipping homes. This means I will buy any home where I think I can put in some sweat equity (fixing and improving) and then sell it for more than my cost. FDHB is not a real estate investment firm that might hold onto the home and wait for it to appreciate. And unlike many of the home buying services you may have seen on the web, it is not a front to generate leads for real estate agents.

In fact, I’m not even going to pretend this is a big company by saying “we” on every page. If you call, it’s me answering the phone. If you email, it’s me typing the reply. I don’t have an assistant for you to make an appointment with. I don’t have a boss that has to approve anything.
